Welcome to the mesmerising realm of mandala art, where symmetry intertwines with spirituality, and boundless creativity flourishes. I am Vinitha Sarath, a self-taught mandala artist embarking on a quest of discovery and self-expression through elaborate patterns and vivid hues. In my artistic endeavours, I aim to blend the allure of the natural environment with the profound essence of the human soul. Every mandala I craft mirrors my innermost thoughts, a moving meditation that encourages observers to delve into their own introspective realms. As a self-taught artist, I started with a fascination for geometric shapes and patterns, leading me to explore mandala art as a personal journey of self-discovery and creative expression. While working as a Registered Nurse in Timaru and being a mother, my passion for Arts & Crafts led me to create Dot Mandala Jewelries and Home Decors. After showcasing my collections at the Marlborough Artisans Crafts Market in Blenheim, I received positive feedback and support, which motivated me to pursue this further. Transitioning to Timaru, I continued selling at the Timaru Artisan Farmers Market and eventually opened a home-based store and art studio in Timaru. My focus is on Mandala art, believing in the significance of crafts for fostering good relationships.
My creative process is a blend of intuition and intention. I start with a blank canvas and allow the design to unfold organically, drawing inspiration from nature, sacred geometry, and my own inner experiences. Each stroke is a meditation, each color choice a reflection of emotion.
